Introduction

This policy document explains the rules, requirements, subscription models, posting fees, download charges, and revenue distribution for authors posting books on SmartToolsCloud. Please read carefully before posting your book.

General Policy Guidelines (1–100)

1. All books must be original and created by the submitting author.

2. Plagiarism, copied, or unauthorized translations are strictly prohibited.

3. Every book must have a clear and descriptive title.

4. Each submission must include a cover image and PDF file.

5. The minimum posting fee is $3 for standard authors.

6. Custom posting requires a $5 base fee plus taxes.

7. Books must be uploaded in PDF format only.

8. Cover images must be in JPG or PNG format with good resolution.

9. Maximum PDF size should not exceed 50MB.

10. Maximum cover image size should not exceed 5MB.

11. Metadata must be accurate and reflect book content.

12. Misleading titles or false descriptions will lead to rejection.

13. All books will start in “pending” status before approval.

14. Moderators will review every submission manually.

15. Approval may take up to 72 hours after submission.

16. Books with hateful or offensive content will be banned.

17. Authors may not post extremist or violent material.

18. Pornographic or sexually explicit content is prohibited.

19. Books must not promote discrimination or racism.

20. Religious sensitivity must be respected in all content.

21. Books giving financial advice must include disclaimers.

22. Medical advice books must include health disclaimers.

23. Legal advice books must clearly mention limitations.

24. Misuse of brand names in titles is not allowed.

40. Refunds for posting fees are not provided.

41. Authors are responsible for their own tax obligations.

42. Payment details must be accurate for payout.

43. Authors must provide valid identity when requested.

44. Accounts with fake details may be suspended.

45. Authors are not allowed to sell duplicate versions.

46. Multi-part books must be posted with proper numbering.

47. Books must have at least 20 pages to qualify.

48. Very short content will be rejected.

49. Authors may not promote external links in books.

50. In-book advertisements must be clearly marked.

51. Free sample books must be marked as “sample”.

52. Authors cannot trick users with false pricing.

53. The platform reserves the right to remove any book.

55. Violations may lead to permanent account ban.

56. Earnings are credited only for valid downloads.

57. Manipulation of downloads is prohibited.

58. Fake accounts for boosting sales are not allowed.

59. Download activity is logged for security.

60. Books promoting scams will be banned.

61. Copyright takedown requests will be honored.

62. Government takedown orders will be followed.

63. Authors may not threaten readers or staff.

64. Harassment through books is not allowed.

65. Books must respect community standards.

66. Political neutrality is encouraged.

68. Hate symbols are banned in covers or PDFs.

69. Duplicate posting under multiple accounts is banned.

70. Each author can have only one verified account.

71. Subscription readers can only access approved books.

73. Fraudulent chargebacks will ban accounts.

Author Responsibilities (101–200)

101. Authors must provide accurate and truthful information in their profiles.

102. Authors must verify their identity when required by the platform.

103. Fake profiles or impersonation will result in account termination.

104. Authors must not attempt to bypass moderation or approval systems.

105. Any attempt to hack or manipulate the system will lead to legal action.

106. Authors are responsible for maintaining the quality of their books.

107. Books with corrupted pages or unreadable text will be rejected.

108. Authors must clearly mention if their book is part of a series.

109. Each book in a series must be uploaded separately with numbering.

110. Authors may not submit incomplete drafts for publishing.

111. Authors must keep backups of their manuscripts.

112. Platform is not responsible for lost files or data.

113. Authors must not share their login credentials with others.

114. Multiple people using the same account is not allowed.

115. Each author account is meant for one individual only.

116. Organizations must apply separately for team accounts.

117. Authors may not sell, rent, or transfer their accounts.

118. Payment accounts must belong to the same person as the author profile.

119. Third-party payment accounts are not accepted.

120. Authors must regularly update their payment information.

121. Expired or invalid payment methods will delay payouts.

122. Authors are responsible for all bank charges during payout.

123. Payment disputes must be raised within 30 days of payout.

124. Authors must follow country-specific financial regulations.

125. The platform may freeze accounts under investigation.

126. Accounts linked to illegal activity will be permanently banned.

127. Authors must comply with international publishing standards.

128. Authors must ensure proper spelling and grammar in books.

129. Poorly formatted books may be rejected.

130. PDF files must be properly paginated and structured.

131. Authors may include a table of contents for easier navigation.

132. Authors may not include malicious links in their PDFs.

133. Advertising inside books must not mislead readers.

134. All advertisements must be clearly labeled as ads.

135. Books disguised as ads will be rejected.

136. Authors may not include affiliate links without disclosure.

137. Any revenue-sharing schemes must be transparent.

138. Ponzi schemes or get-rich-quick scams are prohibited.

139. Books must be suitable for a general audience unless categorized otherwise.

140. Explicit content must carry warnings if allowed by law.

141. Authors must declare sensitive content during submission.

142. Books containing graphic violence will be carefully reviewed.

143. Satirical or humorous content must not promote hate.

144. Authors must respect cultural sensitivities in their works.

145. Books containing discriminatory language will be rejected.

146. Authors must not harass staff through book content.

148. Cyberbullying through published material will not be tolerated.

149. Defamatory content against individuals or groups is banned.

Reader Rights and Platform Usage (201–300)

201. Readers have the right to access books only after successful purchase or subscription.

202. Readers must receive complete and functional PDF files without corruption.

203. Books that fail to download properly can be re-downloaded at no extra cost.

204. Subscription readers can only view books approved by moderators.

205. Free previews or samples must be clearly marked as such.

206. Readers must be able to differentiate between free and paid books.

207. Books must not contain misleading watermarks or fake “free” labels.

208. Refunds for readers are only provided in rare cases of technical failure.

209. Readers must not redistribute downloaded PDFs illegally.

210. Unauthorized sharing of books may lead to account suspension.

211. Readers may report books they find offensive or harmful.

212. Reports are reviewed fairly and books may be removed if necessary.

213. The platform reserves the right to hide books under investigation.

214. Readers are protected from malicious content through moderation.

215. Books containing malware will be permanently removed.

216. Readers must not attempt to hack DRM protection systems.

217. Breaking DRM may result in legal consequences.

218. Readers may not demand refunds for personal preference reasons.

267. Readers must not exploit system bugs for free access.

268. Reporting bugs responsibly is encouraged.

271. Outdated software may affect reading experience.

273. Readers must use stable internet connections for downloads.

Platform Rights and Final Provisions (401–500)

401. The platform reserves the right to update these policies at any time.

402. Updated policies apply to all authors automatically once published.

403. Continued posting after updates means acceptance of new rules.

404. Authors must regularly review the policy page for changes.

405. The platform reserves the right to suspend accounts without prior notice if rules are broken.

406. Suspended accounts may appeal within 14 days of action.

407. Appeals will be reviewed by a moderation team fairly.

408. Repeated violations after appeal may result in permanent ban.

409. Platform reserves the right to permanently remove any content.

410. Authors must not attempt to re-register with banned credentials.

411. Duplicate accounts by banned users will also be terminated.

412. The platform may block IP addresses of repeat violators.

413. Authors must cooperate during investigations of violations.

414. Failure to respond to compliance queries may result in suspension.

415. Authors must provide valid government identification if requested.

416. Failure to provide identification may delay payouts.

417. Authors under investigation cannot withdraw funds until cleared.

418. Fraudulent use of identity documents will lead to legal action.

419. The platform is not liable for disputes between co-authors.

422. Selling accounts or books outside the platform is prohibited.

435. All payouts are final after processing.

436. Disputed payouts must be raised before the next cycle.

437. Payout adjustments after cycle close are not possible.

438. Platform reserves the right to withhold payouts under investigation.

439. Authors must report suspected fraud in their accounts immediately.

440. Failure to report suspicious activity may lead to liability.

441. Authors are responsible for securing their login devices.

442. The platform is not liable for breaches due to weak passwords.

443. Password resets must be handled through secure official channels.

444. Sharing OTPs or reset codes is prohibited.

445. Authors must log out of public devices after use.

446. Authors must not use unauthorized scripts to automate posting.

447. Bots or auto-upload tools are prohibited.

448. Only official APIs may be used if provided.

449. Violations of API use may result in key revocation.

450. Authors may not scrape data from the platform.

451. Unauthorized data collection is prohibited.

452. Books must not embed trackers without disclosure.

453. Privacy of readers must be respected at all times.

454. Selling reader information is strictly forbidden.

455. Platform may take legal action against privacy breaches.

456. Books containing doxxing information will be banned.

457. Authors must not reveal personal addresses of individuals.

458. Publishing phone numbers without consent is prohibited.

459. Sensitive personal data cannot be included without permission.

460. Violations of privacy laws may result in account termination.

461. The platform reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement fully.

462. Government requests for data will be honored within legal frameworks.

463. Authors consent to compliance with international law.

464. Authors cannot refuse data sharing when legally required.

465. The platform is not liable for consequences of government enforcement.

466. Authors must avoid posting books that endanger national security.

467. Content inciting rebellion or terrorism is banned.

468. Authors are prohibited from encouraging unlawful protests.

469. The platform will restrict books flagged by authorities.

470. Banned authors cannot request compensation for lost sales.

471. Authors acknowledge revenue loss risk from policy violations.

472. The platform may publish transparency reports on takedowns.

473. Authors agree their names may appear in such reports if needed.

474. Authors cannot sue the platform for following the law.

475. All disputes must be resolved under the platform’s jurisdiction.

477. Authors agree to binding arbitration in case of disputes.

478. Court cases may only proceed where legally allowed.

479. The platform reserves the right to terminate service entirely.

480. Authors will be notified in case of shutdown of services.

481. In shutdown scenarios, pending payouts will be processed first.

482. Authors must withdraw pending balances within 90 days.

483. After 90 days, unclaimed balances will be forfeited.

484. The platform will not be liable for expired balances.

485. Final closure notices will be posted on official channels.

486. Authors must follow announcements for service changes.

487. Failure to stay updated is the author’s responsibility.

488. Email notifications are considered official communication.

489. Authors must keep their email addresses updated.

490. The platform is not responsible for missed notifications.

491. Authors are encouraged to join community forums for updates.

492. Community discussions must remain respectful.

493. Abusive behavior in forums will result in account penalties.

494. Authors may share feedback to improve the platform.

495. Suggestions do not guarantee implementation.

496. The platform reserves full discretion over new features.

497. Authors cannot demand feature releases as entitlement.

498. By posting books, authors agree to abide by all rules.
